A few guidelines, however no steadfast rules…its your ring after all!

Note: Engagement Rings and Wedding rings are the exception.

Pinky Finger: This is a good choice for the man who wants to wear a statementpiece.  The pinky finger doesn`t have any religious or cultural associations.  Wearing a ring on the pinky doesn`t interfere with index/pointer finger.  This finger symbolizes intelligence, persuasion and represents Mercury. 

Left Ring Finger:  Most North American Men & Women will wear their Wedding band on their LEFT RING FINGER.  Engagement rings on men are rare however this is up to you.  The Wedding ring is worn closest to the `heart` followed by the engagement ring This finger symbolizes creativity, beauty & romantic relationships and represents Earth’s moon.

Middle Finger: Apart from the obvious gesture, the middle finger central location is your biggest and boldest finger!  This finger also symbolizes balance and responsibility and is associated with Saturn. 

Index Pointer Finger: This finger is visible simply from the dexterity of every day use!  Hundreds of years ago the index finger was the most common location for man`s signets or a crest.  Good place for Family, Membership Crests, however modern-day Silver and White Gold tend to be the choice for the pointer finger.  This finger symbolizes power, leadership and authority and is associated with Jupiter.

The Thumb: There is the obvious “thumbs up” that is associated with approval and everything is ok.  A thumb ring on a man is a sign of wealth or influence.  Thumb rings are bigger to fit your thumb.  Individuals who want to wear multiple rings on the same hand, the thumb ring gives leaves some space.  The thumb is associated with mythology.  It is believed that long straight thumbs mean authorative personality while crooked ones are a sign of dishonesty.
